What is an induction kit?

Induction kits are designed to replace the standard mostly restrictive OEM airboxes on a vehicle. The induction kit generally consists of larger more free-flowing pipework with removed baffles. This helps smooth the airflow increasing the amount of air the engine can take in. The other important part of an induction kit is a foam or paper filter usually a lot larger in size. This filter is either open ( no in an enclosure ) or enclosed in a filter housing, Both have different advantages but tend to produce the same results, Increased performance, engine tone and recirc turbo noise if the vehicle is equipped with a turbo.
